STORYLINE:

This year's Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, fell on Feb. 10.

Cultural activities were held in many countries around the world to celebrate the festival.

The Chinese Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) held a Chinese New Year reception in Sarajevo. Nearly 400 representatives from all walks of life in China and BiH attended the event. 

Folk artists performed lion and dragon dances in Yangon, Myanmar on Saturday to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.

At Burlington Arcade, a renowned historic shopping destination and one of London's landmarks, sixteen dancers from south China's Guangdong Province staged the vigorous Yingge Dance.

A special Chinese New Year celebration was organized Tuesday at the Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, allowing Chinese travelers to feel at home and experience a glimpse of the vibrant atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.

The Australian Capital Territory hosted a street festival for Chinese New Year in Dickson, a suburb of Canberra known for its large Chinese community. 

A multicultural festival in celebration of the Chinese New Year was held on Saturday in Wellington, featuring a fusion of music and dances from different ethnic groups.
