A little boy was saved from drowning in a river by two men in their sixties who bravely searched the water and pulled him out to safety.

The child was reportedly playing by the Jinsha River near the city of Zhaotong, in Yunnan, China, with a friend earlier this month.

Suddenly, he slipped from the rocks and fell into the water. Unable to swim, the boy quickly began to sink, leaving his pal desperately searching for help.

Several middle-aged men happened to be nearby and came to the boy's aid.

Dramatic footage recorded by a woman who witnessed the rescue on March 23 shows one man searching the water for the drowning child.

Meanwhile, two other men stood on the shore guiding the victim's friend waiting for him to be saved.

A fourth man then jumped into the river and within seconds, he was able to locate the boy and bring him to the surface.

Thanks to the timely rescue, the boy was reportedly saved and taken to the hospital with no major issues.
