This is the chaotic moment a powerful storm tore through a supermarket in China.

CCTV footage shows the gales shattering glass doors and toppling shelves at the grocery in Zhejiang province on March 25.

An employee battled to hold down the store's roller doors, but strong gusts blew it open and swept rubbish and boxes inside the building.

The supermarket owner estimated damages at around 4,150 USD.

The local meteorological department said wind speeds in Zhejiang reached up to 58 miles per hour.

Hail was also reported to have pummeled parts of Yiwu City, causing damage to numerous cars.
