Bus brake failure causes multiple-vehicle collision in Kursk, Russia.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Kursk, Russia, chaos ensued as the brakes of a 2011 LiAZ-5262 bus failed while descending, reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Kursk Region. Despite attempts at emergency braking, the bus accelerated uncontrollably, colliding with multiple vehicles, including a UAZ and a Volgobus, as it careened down the road. Quick reactions from Kursk residents allowed many to evacuate the bus stop and escape potential harm.
