STORYLINE:

Austrian ballet dancer Vladimir Malakhov was appointed as Director of Ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy.

He is one of the most renowned contemporary dancers in the international ballet world.

Malakhov began to teach at the academy one and a half years ago.

"During this one and a half years when I'm here (in Beijing). I tried to bring new things to the students, to the teachers how to develop themselves.
I think the Chinese history and Chinese culture is very big. They have lots of abilities and possibilities. My thoughts are to do something very special, to use, for example, ancient story. This is a story but in the Chinese way. My idea is to create a wonderful ancient story, but a Chinese story, to use the wonderful history of Chinese culture and put everything in the ballet."
