Australian White Ibises (Threskiornis molucca) are commonly found in urban areas in Australia. They are commonly called ‘Bin Chickens’ because they scavenge for food in rubbish bins and elsewhere. The Ibis perched on a fence, gazing at me with its baleful eye.
