Lebanese Forces Party supporters were seen attacking Syrians in the Achrafieh and Bourj Hammoud regions following the kidnapping and killing of a party member.

The Lebanese Army announced on Monday evening that Pascal Suleiman, the coordinator of the Lebanese Ground Forces in Jbeil, had been killed in Lebanon and his body was being transported to Syria by a "Syrian gang."

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for "restraint and urged people not to be drawn into rumours and emotions."
