Storyline: A completion ceremony for the China-funded Chinese-Palestinian Friendship Square and the extension project of the Beijing Street was held in Ramallah of West Bank on Wednesday. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa and Chinese representatives jointly unveiled the plaque for the newly completed projects. "The facilities are not only beautiful, but also very modern. They are of great value to the residents of Ramallah. We have always appreciated and highly valued China's support for the Palestinian people and our cause over the past decades and even until now," said the prime minister. The Chinese-Palestinian Friendship Square, standing at the heart of one section of the Beijing Street loop, embraces a striking sculpture that demonstrates the friendship between China and Palestine. The projects were completed against the backdrop of the volatile Palestine-Israel conflict. Despite huge challenges, teams from both sides worked together to ensure construction was finished on schedule. The extension project of the Beijing Street spans approximately 11 kilometers. Serving as a vital traffic artery connecting the core urban area of Ramallah with surrounding districts, the road is expected to significantly ease local traffic pressure and improve travel conditions for local residents.
