USA: Orange County Fire Authority Rescues Parrot Entrapped in Fishing Line
Garden Grove, CA, USA - April 29, 2024
In a heartwarming rescue mission on April 29th, the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) came to the aid of a distressed parrot entangled in fishing line.
Responding to the call with swift action, Engine 82 and Truck 81 from Garden Grove arrived at the scene, where they encountered the avian in need. While the circumstances leading to the entanglement remain unclear, the priority for the firefighters was to ensure the bird's safety.
"We received a call today for a parrot entangled in fishing line. We’re not sure how it happened but we’re glad we could get it down to free it from the rest of the line," shared OCFA representatives.
Following a successful rescue operation, the parrot was promptly taken into the care of the Garden Grove Animal Care Service. This update signifies a positive outcome for the rescued bird, as it receives the necessary attention and support for its well-being.
