Loyal pet dog refuses to leave owner when she faints on street
This is the heartwarming moment a loyal pet dog refused to leave his owner when she fainted on the street.
The three-year-old male pooch named Chok accompanied housewife Saengmanee Sriklam, 43, when she left for a trip in Chachoengsao, Thailand, early morning on April 25.
However, she began feeling unwell near their home and collapsed.
Footage shows the protective pet lying next to Saengmanee, seen in the video gasping for breath while waiting for medics.
Rescuers later arrived, but the loyal canine refused to leave Saengmanee's side. They lured him away with some food and drink as they placed the woman on a stretcher and rushed her to the Bang Pakong Hospital for treatment.
Saengmanee's husband Niwat Gorum, 48, said she left home earlier that day. She did not reply to his message so he asked a local motorcycle taxi rider, who told him Saengmanee was headed to Debaratna Road going to Chonburi.
Niwat found her collapsed on the ground panting heavily with Chok curled up next to her.
Niwat said: 'I didn't know my wife was unwell. But I'm grateful that our pet dog was there to help her when she was sick.'
Local media reported that Saengmanee had a congenital disease and fainted from walking a long distance.
She was recovering at the hospital while Niwat took the dog back home.
