Chinese groom burst into tears as butterfly landing on his chest reminds him of late grandmother
On May 2nd, a heartwarming and magical moment unfolded at a wedding ceremony in Santang Town, Xiangyin County, Yueyang City, southern China. As the groom, Wang Zhan, delivered a message to his late grandmother during the wedding ceremony, a white butterfly delicately landed on his chest, as if his grandmother had truly come to attend his wedding. Overwhelmed with emotion, Wang Zhan burst into tears on the spot.
According to Wang Zhan, on April 24th, in the early hours of the morning, he sent a message to his deceased grandmother, inviting her to attend his wedding by transforming into a butterfly. On May 2nd, at the wedding venue, a butterfly indeed landed on Wang Zhan's chest. Witnessing this scene, he seemed to believe in the phenomenon of spiritual connection, and couldn't help but cry uncontrollably.
Wang Zhan, 29, is an English teacher. On May 2nd, he and his wife held their wedding in their hometown of Santang Town, Xiangyin. Wang Zhan said, "My grandmother raised me since I was young, and I have deep feelings for her. When I was a child, whenever my grandmother stayed at our house, she would slip pocket money into my pencil case without telling anyone. Whenever I got in trouble, she was the first to stand up to criticize my parents. When I visited my grandmother's house during holidays, she would make sesame bean tea and sweet wine dumplings for me, always finding a thousand reasons to keep me overnight." After his grandmother passed away on January 5, 2024, Wang Zhan often sent messages to her WeChat, reminiscing about the past. He believes that as long as he doesn't forget his grandmother, she will always be with him.
