Hydrogen balloon catches fire in Chinese restaurant
This is the shocking moment a hydrogen balloon caught fire in a Chinese restaurant.
Surveillance footage shows an elderly woman carrying a child on her right arm, the youngster holding a pink inflatable, in Shangqiu, Henan, China, on December 29.
Suddenly, the balloon exploded and ignited, causing the child to burst into tears.
The guardian quickly moved the kid to safety while their quick-thinking companion fetched a basin of water to extinguish the burning balloon on the floor.
Hydrogen is sometimes used to fill balloons, allowing them to fly higher and further than helium. However, its flammability poses a risk of explosion and fire when mixed with oxygen.
