Circumhorizontal arc 'fire rainbow' appears in China
This is the spectacular moment a circumhorizontal arc, known as a 'fire rainbow,' appeared in the sky in China.
Mr Xiao Chen, a tour guide in Sanqing Mountain, witnessed the rare rainbow cloud phenomenon in Shangrao, Jiangxi, on May 14.
Footage shows the vibrant shades of prism-like colours in the sky.
Several tourists trekked to Yu Tai, a scenic spot in the mountain, to see the beautiful cloud phenomenon displaying holographic red, yellow, and green hues.
Rainbows appear when light refracts, which happens when raindrops in the sky are illuminated by the sun.
