An injured cow was rescued from a snake-infested well in India.

The video was filmed in Madhya Pradesh on May 17. A brave volunteer from the non-government organisation Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan climbed down into the dried-up well to tie a rope onto the trapped cow before otter people waiting above lifted the animal up together.

The cow was successfully rescued after four hours and its injuries were treated afterwards.
