An elephant splashed dust to silence a noisy parrot at a zoo in eastern China.

The video was filmed at Hangzhou Safari Park in Zhejiang Province on May 5.

A routine show was underway in a parrot park at around 13:00. However, the noise unintentionally disturbed an elephant who was napping nearby.

Enraged at being disturbed, the elephant repeatedly threw up dust with its trunk, showering the neighbouring parrot, despite the efforts of keepers to intervene and divert its attention.

Fortunately, the parrot at the centre of the dispute was unharmed. Instead, a bystander who was watching the adjacent programme found themselves sprinkled with dirt.

On May 5, 2024 in Hangzhou Safari Park, a playful scene has been captured on video by a visitor Ms. Ding as a fairytale like dispute unfolds between two neighbors at the zoo: an elephant and a parrot.

At around one o'clock at noon, a routine show was taking place in the parrot park, but the noise unintentionally woke up an elephant who was taking a nap beside it. With the rage of being woken up, the elephant kept throwing up dust with its trunk and showering the parrot next door, without giving up despite the stops and diversions of the keepers.

However, the parrot that caused the dispute was not harmed; instead, a spectator who was all
watching the program next door was all sprinkled with dirt.
