Two dragon boats clashed head-on during a race, injuring one person in eastern China.

Dramatic video filmed in Tangxia Town in Zhejiang Province on May 23, shows two speeding dragon boats crashing into each other, resulting in the bows on both boats being mangled and submerged.

Courageous crew members, donned in life jackets, swiftly leaped into action alongside accompanying rescue personnel to assist those in peril.

Responding to the incident on May 24, the Rui'an City Emergency Management Bureau attributed the collision to a helmsman error.

Thanks to prompt intervention, all individuals aboard the traditional dragon boats were successfully rescued, with only one person sustaining a foot injury, subsequently receiving medical attention.

现场视频显示，两艘对向行进的龙舟撞在一起，其中一艘龙舟速度较快。相撞后，两艘龙舟的船头均被撞毁，龙舟逐渐沉入水中，船上多人落水。还好船员们都穿着救生衣，并且有随行的救援人员随即下水展开救援。
5月24日，瑞安市应急局回应称，事故系舵手操作失误导致，两艘传统龙舟碰撞事故后，经第一时间救援，舟上所有落水人员安全上岸，事故造成1人脚部受伤送医。
