STORYLINE:
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi on Monday received several U.S. Democratic and Republican Congress members led by Senator Jerry Moran in Cairo.
According to the Egyptian presidency, during the meeting, Sisi highlighted the necessity of intensifying efforts to halt the conflict in Gaza to alleviate the humanitarian tragedy faced by the people in the strip and prevent the spillover of conflict.
Sisi also stressed the need for international engagement in implementing the two-state solution to achieve justice, peace and security for all people in the region.
