On May 31, 2024, a light-hearted moment unfolded at Beijing Zoo, when a man's imitation of monkey calls surprisingly triggered a symphony of responses from the resident monkeys.

As he mimicked their sounds, the monkeys enthusiastically replied, filling the enclosure with a cacophony of chatter. The amusing interaction captivated visitors, who responded with continuous laughter.

Chinese netizens shared their humor about the event, jokingly noting, "The zookeeper was terrified for a moment, thinking the monkeys had escaped!"

The man in the video, Mr. Chen, introduced himself as being born in the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese lunar calendar and has loved monkeys since he was a child.

At that moment, Chen felt very excited as he heard a young monkey greeting him all the time. He imitated the monkey's calls in response, which made the monkeys even more animated.

Yet sadly he is not a monkey and can only interact with them outside of the cage.
