Switzerland's over 110-year-old railway bridge demolished
A more than 110-year-old railway bridge in Switzerland was demolished on May 13.
Dramatic video filmed in Graubünden shows the Castielertobel Viaduct, a single-track railway bridge resting on two 50-metre-high (164 feet) stone pillars, being blown up ahead of work to build a new one.
The demolition, executed by the Swiss transport company Rhaetian Railway (RhB), followed inspections in 2019 that discovered serious damage to the 1914 viaduct's steel structure.
