Pet cat and bird have 'telegraphic' conversation in China
This is the amusing moment a pet cat and bird had a 'telegraphic' conversation in China.
The pet owner spotted their British Shorthair cat chattering while looking at a small bird perched on the ceiling inside their house in Guangdong on May 29.
Footage shows the bird chirping, and its sounds can be heard in the living room. This caught the attention of the furry creature, causing it to respond with soft meows while on a sofa.
Cats chatter or chirp to mimic their prey as a hunting strategy. They do this to give the impression to birds and rodents that they are harmless.
