A heavy rainfall in southern China led to severe flooding, causing a residential wall to collapse and floodwaters to sweep away farm tools.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Meizhou City in Guangdong Province on June 16.

Fortunately, residents had evacuated in advance, preventing casualties.

On June 17, the Guangdong Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters raised the emergency response to level III, dispatching three rescue helicopters for evacuations and supply drops.

Preliminary statistics indicate over 200 teams and 9,000 personnel are engaged in rescue operations, with the provincial headquarters deploying an additional 18 rescue teams, comprising 1,835 personnel and 986 pieces of equipment, to Meizhou for rapid response.
