Footage shows two dogs in cages startled as they witness the sudden collapse of the barricade. A girl then is seen running towards another house to alert her parents.
The strong impact caused water to splash onto the frightened canines.
The resident said: 'Fortunately, there is CCTV. Otherwise, the dogs would take the blame. They never expected to live in a room with a river view.'
