On June 23, 2024, in Huangshan, Anhui, amidst severe weather conditions and rising floodwaters, a dramatic rescue unfolded.

The murky waters had swept away an electric bike, trapping an elderly individual inside. The elderly person, feeling isolated and helpless as the water engulfed the vehicle, was fortunate to be seen by three vigilant cooks.

These quick-thinking individuals, Fang Jian, Bi Yuefei and Lu Cheng, saw the perilous situation and immediately entered the water. Heroically standing hand in hand in the floodwaters, they prevented the elderly person from being swept away and then pulled him to safety.

The three employees then spent a long time helping the elderly person retrieve his electric bike.

Luckily, the elderly person was unharmed.

Upon learning of the employees' heroic actions, the restaurant owner Mr. Huang awarded them certificates and a bonus of five hundred Chinese yuan each. During a banquet held for commendation, Huang encouraged everyone to emulate their spirit.
