Shocking footage of two passengers being crushed by sugarcanes falling down from an overturned farm vehicle being rescued by police and the public has emerged from China.

In the video, filmed in Pu'er, Yunan Province last Thursday, when a farm vehicle turns a corner, it suddenly overturns and sugarcanes on it fall down to crush two passengers under it.

After that, lots of people try to rescue the two passengers.

According to local reports, two passengers were rescued and sent to hospital. They have already out of danger.

After investigation, police believed that the accident was caused by overload.

As sugarcanes on the vehicle were loaded too high, barycentre was high as well. At the same time, driver didn't decrease the speed when the vehicle turned a coner. Therefore, vehicle overturned and sugarcanes fell down.
