Members of a German biomedical delegation expressed confidence in the Chinese market during their visit to Hainan Province in south China on July 2-4.

Here, they evaluated the investment environment and sought business partners and collaboration opportunities.

"The Chinese market is very important for German companies. It's in different sectors.
The industry in Germany, the innovative industry as well as the industry of well-established medicines has a very strong interest in providing medicines to China.
Hainan Province offers the opportunity of bringing medicines into Hainan and based on the carrying out of real-world studies and gaining real-world evidence, to have the opportunity then later on to bring the medicine into the whole country. Hainan in general has an outstandingly interesting opportunity for the development."

"We are a digital therapy platform in chronic eye diseases. So we are a med-tech company. What we heard in the presentation in Beijing is that we can bring our product to Hainan. We can find out here in Hainan that the product is working in China."

"During this trip organized by the CIPA (China International Investment Promotion Agency), we had the great opportunity to get in contact with some of the most important Chinese pharmaceutical companies. And China indeed has a lot of expertise and cutting-edge companies in this field. So I'm very impressed and I think it's going to be a very good opportunity."

Prior to their trip to Hainan, the delegation also visited Beijing and Shanghai.
