USA: Brush Fire With Structure Threat

VEGETATION FIRE - At 3:34 p.m. Cal Fire Riverside responded to the 1500 block of Metz Road in unincorporated Perris. Firefighters arrived on scene and noticed a small 3-acre brush fire. At this time, the Incident commander requested more units to assist with the fire. More ground crews arrived on scene along with several water dropping helicopters and couple of fixed winged aircrafts. The fire currently sits at 18 acres burning in light grass at a moderate rate of spread. The forward rate of progress of the fire has stopped.
