On July 7, 2024, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Kodiak executed a daring rescue operation after a vessel capsized near Narrow Cape, Alaska. The distress call prompted an immediate response to save two individuals struggling in the frigid waters.

The survivors, identified as a 17-year-old male and a 56-year-old male, were swiftly located and hoisted to safety by the Coast Guard crew. They were transferred in stable condition to awaiting EMS at Air Station Kodiak, where further medical attention was provided.
