This is the funny moment a man shows off a piglet he hooked while fishing near a river.

The incident occurred in Pudong district, Shanghai Municipality, China on Sunday, July 14.

The man said he caught the piglet with a fishing rod. He said he used the lure on his fishing rod to entangle the porker and pull it out of the water and onto the shore.

He did not take the pig away but instead called the police. While waiting for the police to arrive, the man fed the piglet.

The pig was then safely removed from the area by cops. The incident was captured on video, showing the man's unconventional catch.

The pig appeared slightly injured and it is currently unclear how it wound up in the water.

Authorities safely removed it from the area and stated that they would ensure the well-being of the piglet.
