Bizarre moment duck is rescued - from pelican's mouth
This is the bizarre moment a zoo worker had to rescue a duck - after it was swallowed by a pelican.
Staff at a zoo in Xi'an, China, had left the grey and white pelican unattended for just a moment when it tried to swallow the duck.
Tourists visiting on May 4 alerted staff to the situation, who then immediately intervened.
Footage shows a zoo worker prying open the pelican's large bill - allowing a small yellow duck to emerge.
After a little jostling, the duck managed to jump out of the pelican's bill and waddled off unharmed.
