Girlfriend pauses boyfriend's wedding proposal to call mum and ask permisison
A girlfriend hilariously paused her boyfriend's wedding proposal so she could call her mum and ask for permission.
Chicky Unabia thought she was only going on a picnic in the mountains with her boyfriend of six years, Joshua Maulas, but the man asked her to marry him.
However, during the surprise, Chicky cut him off for a moment to tell her family and get their blessings before making a decision.
Footage shows Chicky posing for pictures during what she thought was only a romantic date in Bukidnon, the Philippines, on July 5. When she turned around, Joshua was already on his knee and holding a box of ring.
Chicky cried and took her phone, saying: ‘Wait, I'll call my mama,' as she tapped on her phone.
She then called their family's group chat with her siblings and mother, connecting to the video conference.
She said: ‘Where's mama? Where's mama?'
After briefly chatting with her family, Chicky proceeded with her special moment and accepted the ring.
Chicky said: ‘We went to Misty Mountain Haven. I thought we were only going on a day trip. I had no idea what was going to happen.
‘I am a mama's girl. At first, my mother said no because I am her only daughter who isn't married yet, but she changed her mind and gave me her blessings.'
