Boyfriend botches proposal when he gets down on one knee in wrong place
This is the hilarious moment a boyfriend's marriage proposal went embarrassingly wrong when he knelt down on one knee behind the wrong girl.
Footage shows the lover trying to surprise his partner by eagerly kneeling behind an assembly of police academy trainees wearing similar uniforms.
He thought his partner was still standing in front of him, but failed to notice she had moved to another group further to the right.
When a love song began playing, the female cadets were asked to turn and face the opposite direction, and he stood up, showing the ring.
It was then that he realised his girlfriend was actually in another spot and quickly moved to find her.
Onlooker Love Dimacompas Abad Mangelen said: ‘The sergeant proposed to his girlfriend but had the wrong girl. It happened during their class recognition rites, where my sister was part of.'
He eventually found his significant other, and the proposal was successful.
The ring and a bouquet were given to the girl, and everyone cheered for the newly-engaged couple.
The marriage proposal with an unexpected twist happened in Maguindanao del Norte, the Philippines, on May 30.
