Venezuela: Corina Machado participated in opposition march in Venezuela against electoral fraud
Caracas, Venezuela - August 03, 2024
[Note: video contains Spanish language]
Thousands of people took to the streets this Saturday in marches and rallies in Caracas and other points of Venezuela to protest against the results of the presidential elections provided by the National Electoral Council (CNE), which proclaimed Nicolas Maduro the winner amid allegations of irregularities and fraud.
The protests, called by the opposition coalition Plataforma Unitaria Democratica (PUD), began in the Venezuelan capital normally and without notable incidents, despite the large influx of people, both on foot and on motorcycles.
This is the second large-scale demonstration carried out at the request of the majority opposition, which claims that its presidential standard bearer, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, won the elections by a wide margin, supporting its claim with 80% of the voting records which it claims to have in its possession and which it has uploaded on a web page.

1. SOUNDBITE: Corina Machado
"That six days later they did not hand over a single record. There is no pseudo-legal maneuver that can cover up the truth, the truth is in our minutes, the truth is in our hearts, in every word that from this moment on we continue to pronounce a single cry of freedom from the brave people of Venezuela. Today is a very important day, after 6 days of brutal repression they believed that we would be silenced or paralyzed. The presence of each one of you here represents the best of every Venezuelan. This shows the world the magnitude of the strength and what it means that we will go all the way."
