USA: Compton Horse Struck by Vehicle

08/08/2024 08:48 pm (GMT-0700) | COMPTON, Calif. – A horse was struck by an unknown vehicle and severely injured Thursday evening. The incident occurred near the intersection of West Alondra Boulevard and South Oleander Avenue. L.A. County Sheriff's deputies responded along with animal control to the location. It is unknown at this time if the vehicle that struck the horse fled or remained at scene. No vehicle with damage consistent with hitting a horse was seen in the area. Sheriff's deputies blocked traffic in both directions on Alondra while crews waited for additional animal control resources. As of the time of this writing, the horse was still alive.
