USA: Lancaster Smoke Shop Burglary With $20K in Losses

08/15/2024 02:00 am (GMT-0700) | LANCASTER, Calif. – Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lancaster Station responded to the 44000 block of Challenger Way in the city of Lancaster for a reported burglary in progress at a local business. Upon arrival at the Happy Clouds smoke and vape shop, deputies found a storefront with major damage, and it appeared that a vehicle had rammed the entrance. An audible alarm was sounding off at the same time deputies made entry into the business with their weapons drawn and confirmed that no one was inside. The owner of the smoke shop arrived and confirmed that at least $20,000 in merchandise including tobacco products and vapes had been stolen. The owner also estimated the cost of damage would be about $50,000. Suspect information released by the sheriff's department said there were at least two male Blacks in their late teens to early 20s driving a silver or gray Kia Sedona. No further information was available at the time of this report.
