USA: Banning RV Fire Ignites Brush Fire
Los Angeles, United States - August 23, 2024
08/23/2024 02:00 pm (GMT-0700) | BANNING, Calif. —
At approximately 2:00 p.m., Cal Fire Riverside received a call of a recreational vehicle on fire in the area of Hathaway and E. Nicolet streets.
Upon arrival, fire crews noticed an RV on fire in a field near the Interstate 10 Freeway westbound near the truck scales near Morongo at the Ramsey off-ramp.
The fire quickly spread to the brush igniting it and causing a brush fire.
Additional fire crews were requested by the incident commander on scene along with Cal Fire helicopters to assist with the fire fight.
The fire is currently under investigation by Cal Fire Prevention officers. No firefighters were injured battling this fire.
The fire is currently at 86 acers with 50% containment.
