SOUNDBITE 1 (French): ALAIN CHRISTIAN KINGUE, Coach of Cameroon Judo Federation
"Thanks to the advent of this place, to the installation of this masterpiece, we can now host quality competitions. In November, the African Open 2024 in Yaounde, one of the qualifying events for the Olympic Games, will be made possible by this infrastructure. We are grateful for the China-Cameroon cooperation. Thanks to them, we can now host high-level sports events in Cameroon."

"This infrastructure brings us closer to professionalism. We can train regardless of the weather, sunny or rainy, and at any time of day or night, thanks to the lighting. It provides immense value for both athletes and coaches."

Like many other Chinese infrastructure projects, the complex has bolstered economic development, upgraded public services, and contributed to the local community's well-being.

We take our hats off to the China-Cameroon cooperation, supported by the Chinese technical team, which has been managing preventive and curative maintenance since the complex's inauguration in 2009."

SOUNDBITE 4 (Chinese): CAI ZHENHUA, Team leader of the Technical Assistance Project for Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex
