USA: CHP Failure to Yield Ends in Fatal Collision
Los Angeles, United States - September 04, 2024
09/04/2024 01:15 pm (GMT-0700) | FONTANA, Calif. – Location: the intersection of Beech Avenue and Cherry Avenue.
On September 4, 2024, CHP was conducting a traffic stop of a white SUV. The white SUV failed to stop, and a short pursuit ensued.
The suspect's vehicle was traveling on Beech Avenue and crashed into a red Mustang in the southbound lanes of Cherry at the intersection.
Medical aid was summoned for both the suspect driver and the driver of the Mustang, according to CHP Captain Commander Suarez with the Rancho Cucamonga Area office. The driver of the red Mustang was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital, but his injuries at this time are unknown.
Agencies involved- CHP Rancho Cucamonga and Fontana Police.
