From Cal Fire Incident Report CA-RRU-45932 (Fatality Traffic Collision with Fire)
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters; with the assistance of Murrieta Firefighters; responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire on Benton Road at Winchester Road in French Valley. The first arriving engine company reported a three vehicle traffic collision with fire. There was a total of four patients. One patient succumbed to their injuries on scene. Two other patients were transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital with moderate injuries. The fourth patient was evaluated by paramedics on scene and declined transport. The fire has been contained. All fire personnel have cleared the scene. For further information please contact Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
