Footage of water shooting into the air on a street in San Francisco, USA, after a car crashed into a fire hydrant.

The video, filmed on April 2 from an apartment window, shows the seven-storey high geyser spraying into the air, while the 4x4 can be seen crashed into a nearby building.

The filmer later wrote online: "Just 10 to 15 seconds after I heard the crash of the car I ran to my window and began recording, and saw the car imbedded into the building and the geyser that was seven-storeys high.

"In the beginning of the recording you can see the driver of the SUV emerge from the spray of water and run across the steet."
