Russia: Terrified Students Plunged From Window Fleeing Escape Room
Sterlitamak, Russia - August 31, 2024
[Note: no sound]
A horror escape house is being investigated by police after three students were so terrified by one of the actors they were seriously injured falling out of a second-storey window.
The trio had booked in for the experience performance in Sterlitamak, southern Russia, for a terror quest called 'Fobia'.
Part of the show involves an actor scaring participants to make them flee one room through a narrow passageway into another.
But, local media reported on 5th September, his performance was so spine-chilling that instead, they crashed straight through a chipboard cover and out of a window.
All three were seriously injured when they landed on a concrete pavement.
Police video footage of the interior of the 'Fobia' house shows a Satanic upside-down crucifix on the wall and bizarre messages daubed on the walls in fake blood.
Elsewhere there are creepy photographs of babies in coffins and images of spooky The Shining-style children.
A clip of the three victims on the road after their fall shows them with bruises and cuts all over their arms and heads.
Further footage shows one of the students in hospital as he limps around clearly in agony with his head swathed in bandages.
Local media reports say all three students suffered broken fingers and wrists while two of them were kept in hospital with head injuries and concussions.
Police and prosecutors, says the region's Prosecutor's Office, are now investigating the escape room to see if it breached any public safety regulations.
