Heart-stopping footage shows the moment a group of quick-thinking students saved a kitten trapped high up on a dormitory building.

The ginger feline had somehow become stuck on a narrow platform between the second and third floors of the accommodation block in Henan Province, China -

leaving it unable to climb down to safety.

A video captured on December 26, 2025 shows students springing into action, coordinating efforts from both inside the building and outside.

From a window on the third floor, several students gently prodded the frightened kitten with a long bamboo pole, attempting to guide it downwards without causing harm.

Meanwhile, classmates gathered below with thick sports mats stretched out beneath the ledge in a bid to break the kitten's fall.

After a tense few seconds, the tiny animal finally slipped from the platform, bouncing safely off the padded mats before bolting into nearby bushes.
