Indian waiter clings to car for a MILE to catch dine-and-dash group

An Indian restaurant waiter clung to a car and was dragged for more than half a mile to catch a rowdy dine-and-dash group.

Sheikh Sahil Anusuddin was furious when the three youths walked away without paying the bill for their dosa wraps, curries an drinks at the eatery in Beed, Maharashtra, on Saturday, September 7.

Determined Sheikh chased the men and desperately gripped the driver's side door. The vehicle accelerated rapidly, dragging him for around a mile down the road.

Despite his courageous effort, the driver continued to speed away, dragging the waiter along the side of the car. The victim was allegedly held and assaulted before the group fled.

They are said to have left without paying their bill of 11,500 Rupees (136.94 USD).

Police in the Dindrud district immediately filed charges against the accused and initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident.

They said that strict measures would be enforced to catch the suspects and prevent future incidents.
