A large tree branch blown by storm whacked a resident on the head.

CCTV footage shows the hardwood falling on local Ben, who was trying to secure the motorcycles parked underneath in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, on September 6.

Ben leaned down and quickly moved away from the tree while holding his painful head and checking for blood.

His relative, who saw what happened, rushed to pull him away and helped Ben take refuge inside the house while the powerful gusts battered outside.

Ben said: ‘The heavy branch could have seriously injured me, but the parked motorbikes caught the weight.'

He was slightly injured from being struck by the branch while his motorcycles were damaged.

The resident added: 'I hope it will remind everyone that when it rains and the wind is strong, we should avoid big trees.'
