Tourists stuck in traffic exit their vehicles to join in impromptu concert in Chinese tunnel
On October 2, in Ganzi, Sichuan, the Xiaotiandu Tunnel on the Yaye Expressway near Kangding experienced a long traffic jam due to the heavy flow of vehicles during the National Day holiday.
In response to this unexpected situation, travellers maintained a positive attitude. A few young people started singing, and the atmosphere gradually spread, with more and more people joining in. Eventually, it turned into an impromptu concert.
Some people brought out sound equipment, young people waved national flags, and children enthusiastically sang "Love My China." The singing and laughter together helped to relieve the frustration of being stuck in traffic.
According to one traveler, Ms. Chen, the traffic jam lasted about three hours, and this unique concert made the otherwise dull time much more enjoyable and memorable.
