Shocked residents watched from their balconies as ballistic missiles from Iran were launched into Israel.

Footage shows the series of bright projectiles illuminating the sky on the morning of October 2.

The panicked migrant workers from the Philippines were heard saying in the video: ‘Oh no what's that? Look at that. There are so many. Do we need to prepare?'

More than 180 explosives were fired into the country, killing at least one person in the West Bank, hitting a school in central Israel and a restaurant in Tel Aviv.

Israel's Iron Dome defence system intercepted a number of the projectiles.

Israel responded by claiming it is sending 'additional forces' to its ground operation inside Lebanon, which began earlier this week, and has told more villages to evacuate.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran will 'pay'.
