An innovative mechanic has built a hybrid vehicle that merges a Toyota sedan with heavy-duty tractor tyres.

Chanchai, the car enthusiast and master tinkerer, modified the black Toyota Vios by fitting tractor wheels to the rear axle at his workshop in Ao Luek District, Krabi.

Footage shows the technician test-driving the vehicle, which has a striking forward rake, on January 12.

The vehicle with an elevated rear suspension and standard front wheels is also decorated with a black pirate flag featuring a skull and crossed wrenches fluttering in the air.

Chanchai can be seen manoeuvring the car across the dusty ground, circling inside the workshop before navigating outside the building.

Chanchai said: 'The car isn't finished yet because we are planning to add two large tyres to the front as well. We just needed to test-drive it to check the engine and see how it moves with the larger wheels installed.'

The mechanic has modified various vehicles, including pickup trucks, sub-SUVs, and sedans from different car brands, by fitting them with oversized monster-truck tyres.
