A shopkeeper has become a hit for the mountains of sugar she adds to her signature milk tea.

Crowds of sweet-toothed fans have been queuing at 'Auntie Nid' at her dessert shop, which has become a favourite for its excessively sweet Thai milk tea.

Footage captured by Thanaporn Chatcharaporn shows the vendor, in full makeup and vibrant red lipstick, pouring a generous amount of condensed milk into a glass mug before adding three overflowing spoonfuls of sugar on December 31.

She then pours the sieved, freshly brewed tea into the cup, filling it to the brim before stirring the mixture in Bangkok, Thailand.

Moments later, she fills a plastic bag with ice cubes and pours the sugary tea into it before handing it to a waiting customer.

Thanaporn said: 'You have to queue outside the shop first, then sit inside and wait for her to call you one by one. If the line is very long, customers are limited to one drink per person. It was very sweet, but it was a refreshing drink.'
