US, Los Angeles: Downtown Los Angeles Fire at Cecil Hotel Prompts Evacuation

10/07/2024 10:47 pm (GMT-0700) | DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – LAFD responded to the Cecil Hotel located at 640 S. Main St. for reports regarding a fire.
When crews arrived at the scene, they located heavy smoke coming from a unit on the 6th floor.
The fire was contained to contents in one of the units.
The building was evacuated as a precaution.
No injuries were reported.
No further information was immediately available.
