Bakery sells vibrant Chinese New Year themed dragon buns
A cafe introduced a distinctive design for steamed buns, featuring the head of a lion in a Chinese lion dance.
KAY Foreign Cake & Bakery began accepting orders for the special steamed buns in preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
Footage shows the baker carefully detailing the vibrant red buns with small scissors to imitate the scales of a dragon.
Due to an overwhelming response, the cafe had to stop accepting orders ahead of the festive occasion.
The cafe offered each pair for 129 baht (2.87 GBP), with three filling options such as foi thong, beans, and taro.
Customers could store them in the freezer for a month or in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
The dragon is believed to bring blessings and positive energy to the new year. It is also considered a symbol of good luck, prosperity, and success in Chinese culture.
