On October 19, in Wenshan, Yunnan, an elderly grandfather bravely used his body to stop a rampaging black water buffalo in order to protect his two grandchildren and wife.

At the time, the grandfather, grandmother, and their two grandchildren had finished their farm work and were heading home. The grandfather was leading one water buffalo, while the grandmother and the two grandchildren sat in a cart pulled by another buffalo.

Suddenly, the buffalo pulling the cart lost control and began running wildly. Upon hearing cries for help from behind, the grandfather immediately let go of the buffalo he was leading and rushed toward the rampaging buffalo, attempting to use his body to stop its charge.

Unfortunately, during the attempt to block the buffalo, the grandfather was knocked down and seriously injured, breaking 10 ribs. Despite his severe injuries, his brave action successfully prevented the buffalo from causing further harm, protecting his wife and two grandchildren on the cart from greater danger.

The injured man’s son, Mr. Liang, explained that the two buffaloes were about to fight and couldn't be stopped. His father used his body to take the blow in order to protect the three people on the cart, resulting in ten broken ribs. The father is currently in the hospital, the surgery was successful, and he is now out of danger and recovering.
